Drop Knowledge Base
Drop Introduction
The long awaited update to the original heated loading tool, the Budder Cutter, which we invented in 2014. The Dr. Dabber Drop is a significant improvement in every sense, specifically designed to make it easier to load concentrates into your eRig, banger or pen
The Dr. Dabber Drop is a heated cutting and loading, multi-use dabbing tool. Designed for sticky, hard to manage oils and waxes. The heat source is carefully calibrated to avoid overheating while minimizing heating time to ensure a perfect cutting/loading temperature. It also doubles as a heated loading tool for our vaporizer pens and eRigs. Featuring 2 different heat settings, this unit is designed for the Dab Connoisseur.
How to Use Your Drop
Click the button five (5) times to turn the Drop unit on/off.
While the unit is on, click the button once (1) for high temp mode, recommended to Drop concentrates off the heating tip. High temp mode runs for 7 seconds.
Click the button twice (2) for low temp mode, recommended for scooping and cutting concentrates and cleaning out concentrate containers. Low temp mode runs for 30 seconds.
At any time during a heating cycle, you may click the button once (1) to stop the current cycle.
Caution: Please refrain from touching the heating tip of the Dr. Dabber Drop, as it can become extremely hot during use and may cause burns or injury to skin.
Always power down the Drop before storing in a pocket or bag.
Charging The Battery
The Drop will illuminate three (3) times in white before a heating cycle to indicate low battery. We recommend using the included USB-C charging cable to charge the battery, but most USB-C charging cables are compatible with the Drop battery. Pulsing white indicates charging and solid white indicates a full charge. We only recommend charging the unit when it indicates low battery and removing the battery from the charger as soon as it is fully charged. This will help extend the overall lifespan of your Drop battery.
Caring for Your Drop
Please be gentle when using the ceramic heating element. It can be fragile when hot. The heat source is carefully calibrated to avoid overheating while minimizing heating time to ensure perfect cutting and loading temperatures. Leaving your Drop unattended during a heating cycle may be dangerous. Make sure you turn the unit off when not in use and set it standing up or laying on a dab mat to cool. We recommend placing the cap on the heating element, while not in use, to avoid damage to the ceramic tip.
Keeping it Clean
Remember to keep your device clean for long-term use and overall performance. We recommend using a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol to clean any residue around the battery, charger, and heating element. DO NOT use a torch to clean any of your Drop components.
Troubleshooting
Make sure the unit is fully charged and turned on with five (5) rapid clicks of the button.
Fully clean your your unit and charging port with an ISO dipped cotton swab.
If your Drop unit experiences any issues, it will flash three (3) times in red to indicate a fault with the unit. If this occurs, please contact our support team for further assistance.
