You asked, we listened! After many “soon” replies from the Dr. Dabber team, we are proud to launch our first major update to the Dr. Dabber App! This new app refresh includes a major firmware update that unlocks the full potential of the Switch²! The biggest feature of this update by far is we are giving users the ability to create their own Custom Dynamic Heating Modes. The app refresh includes many other new features with an easy to understand interface.

Vapor Profiles:
The five preset temperature settings for the Switch² have been reimagined to Vapor Profiles. Now each one includes its own customizable temperature, hold time and Dynamic Heating Mode, allowing users to build out different experiences for each Vapor Profile.
Hill & Valley Dynamic Heating Modes:
Introducing two new standard heating modes to compliment Descent, Steady, and Ascent. Our new Hill heating mode gradually increases temperature to focus on vapor production, followed by a gentle descent to create a smooth, flavorful finish. While Valley gently decreases temperature delivering exceptional terpene preservation, followed by a slow rise to finish with quality vapor production.
Custom Dynamic Heating Mode:
Custom heating mode allows users to design their own custom heating curve. Using a simple to understand tool, users can create a custom heating curve that is perfect for your personal wants and needs. Heating curves are limited by the maximum heating (10 degrees F/second) and cooling (-3 degrees F/second) rates of the Switch², but this feature unleashes unlimited potential of the Switch². Each setting can have its own Custom Dynamic Heating Mode, designed by you.
Improved Vapor Profile Sharing:
Once new vapor profiles are created, users can take advantage of our improved sharing feature to share with the community. Sharing will copy over your vapor profiles, including Custom Dynamic Heating Modes, to other users by generating a code that is valid for 30 days. Name Suggestions
We have built in a name suggestion tool, so users may see some unique names for your Switch². Give your device the personality it deserves. This tool is ready for all new users and can be found on the Dr. Dabber App settings page.
Updated Interface:
Does this sound like a lot? Yes it is, but worry not! All of these features are built into a new user interface that includes a major design refresh of the Dr. Dabber App. Each feature has been carefully curated to be simple to understand, and easy to access.

Improved Temperature Tracking
We have updated the temperature tracking algorithm on the Switch², so that when users have already heated their unit, a subsequent heat cycle at a lower temp is tracked accurately. The cooling rate cannot be electronically controlled. When a user heats to a high temp, then immediately follows with low-temp, the unit will need time to cool to this lower temperature. The heating cycle in this situation will appear normal, and the unit will illuminate Green once the insert has cooled to the set-point temperature.
Haptic Feedback when Cancel Heating
Haptic feedback is now included when a user cancels a heating cycle via the app or device button press.
Optimized Haptic Feedback and Power Consumption
Internal optimizations have been made for power consumption and haptic feedback response that provide battery life improvements to the Switch².
Secure Device Analytics
Device analytics are now secured with an internal back-up into your device. This eliminates the rare occurance of dab counters being reset.

Haptic Feedback
This patch includes adding a vibration when a user cancels a heating cycle. This vibration can be halted by turning off Haptic Feedback under device settings.
Updated Graphics/Icons
We have updated several of the analytics icons to be more intuitive and easier to understand.
Firmware Updating
We added a safety feature to disable auto-shut off during firmware updates, so users don’t accidentally cancel their updates midway.

Updated Heating Profile Icons
The icons for Heating Profiles (Ascent, Descent, Steady) have been updated. There is no change to the actual performance of the heating profiles.
Reduce Auto Shut-Off Minimum Time
Users can now set their Auto Shut-Off time from 90 minutes to as low as 1 minute. Lower Auto Shut-Off time may extend battery life.
Holiday Light Modes Removed for Now
The 2024 holiday season was special for us at Dr. Dabber, since it marked the launch of the Switch² and the Dr. Dabber App . We celebrated it with these unique light modes, and hope you all enjoyed them. For now, these light modes go back into the vault, but no worries, we expect some new light modes to celebrate other holidays coming soon!

New Light Modes
Have your Switch² be part of the holiday season with one of our new holiday light modes, Deck the Halls and Candy Cane. Enjoy it while you can, because these light modes are for a limited time only.
Cleaning Assist
Find "Cleaning Assist" under your device settings. This low-temperature heating mode gently heats your insert to loosen oils and make it easier to swab or remove the insert. The Cleaning Assist heats your insert to 100 oF for 30 seconds. We recommend letting the full cycle run before attempting to remove the insert. Cleaning Assist will not chazz your inserts or add to your cycle/dab counter.
Haptic Feedback Toggle
We added a toggle under your device settings to turn the haptic feedback on/off.
Bug Fixes
- Increased the time a button can be held down to register as a press, so users won’t have to press buttons so quickly.
- The device name is no longer saved after resetting device.
- Fixed an issue where the device does not illuminate properly when synced during a heating cycle.
- Fixed a bug where temperature setting changes were not being saved.
- Fixed a bug where hold time setting changes were not being saved.
